A walk through the history of Holcombe Moor

Find out more about the history of Holcombe Moor on this walk and talk for members of Holcombe Moor Heritage Group. We will walk from Lumb Carr Road onto Holcombe Moor, visiting various sites of historical interest, including Pilgrim‘s Cross, Ellen Strange’s memorial, Robin Hood’s Well, the old grey wall and the breathing ground. The walk will also include a visit to Peel Tower with a chance to climb to the top to look at the view from there. The distance will be about 4 miles and stout footwear is recommended.
