Local author and historian Nigel Jepson's illustrated talk investigates the controversial nature of Mary Hindle's involvement in the weavers' uprising and how as a result she was sentenced to transportation to Australia, fated never to return to her family and eventually dying in tragic circumstances. Admission will be £3 which includes light refreshments. There will be a raffle and the bar will be available.
