Holcombe Moor Heritage Group would like YOUR help!
We would like to gather and record memories of what it was like to live in our local area in the recent past. We are particularly interested in memories of Holcombe Village, Holcombe Brook, Greenmount, Ramsbottom, Tottington and Walshaw. If you have any memories or experiences you would like to share there are several ways you can do this.
¨ Complete the form on the back of this sheet and return to 6 Thomason Fold, Turton, BL7 0PD. Additional forms will be available to print from our website at www.holcombemoorheritagegroup.org.
¨ Email your memory to hmhg.memories@btinternet.com
¨ Record your memory orally into a voice recorder at home, for example a smartphone or tablet and email as an attachment to hmhg.memories@btinternet.com
¨ Arrange for members of our group to interview and record your memory at your home. Please contact us by emailing hmhg.memories@btinternet.com to arrange this.
¨ Send your memory as a Facebook message to Holcombe Moor Heritage Group
Every memory or reminiscence will count in this project, no matter how brief!
We are also looking for photographs, documents or artefacts that are related to life in the past in the local area. Please contact us via email on hmhg.memories@btinternet.com if you have anything that may be helpful to us. We intend to produce a booklet but will keep your contribution anonymous unless you give permission for us to include your name.
Why not get your friends and neighbours involved in this project too? Please also pass our request on to any friends or relatives who are not on the internet. We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about life in this area in the past.
